If you’ve been following the blog recently, you’ll have likely seen the name JUNK before. The San Diego, USA-based nu-jazz collective have been all over our pages recently thanks to their debut EP release Chromatose. The latest track of theirs we’re sharing is its title track.
By Graeme Smith
JUNK is the creation of Aaron “Dubl A” Seener and Dale “Dirty D” Pearson, the latter of which has featured on our blog as a solo artist before. Together, the pair have really pushed the musical envelope with the tracks off Chromatose, and the title track is perhaps its shining star.
Chromatose has a laidback and funky vibe to it, with an instantly infectious groove and chanting vocals that will embed themselves into your mind. With psychedelic breakdowns aplenty, it’s a track that will keep you on your toes right to the end.
You can give the single a listen below. The EP Chromatose is available in all the usual places.
