JUNK is a new band that features Dirty D, a San Diego, USA-based hip hop and jazz saxophonist who first hit my radar last spring thanks to his EP Solar Sail. Now he’s back on the blog, band in tow, with a single release from their new EP Chromatose. It’s called None Other Than Dirty D.

I love a good character, and Dirty D is certainly one. A self-styled “Rogue International Hustler” and dealer of “Musical Cromatose Narcotics”, he invites you into his world of seedy bars, underground jazz clubs and leftfield musical riffs. He lets his sax do the talking during this charming instrumental.

None Other Than Dirty D is a welcome return to the blog for Dirty D, and a great introduction to JUNK for us. I can’t wait to explore the EP Chromatose further. You can hear the single below.
