Junior Bill are a Cardiff based rock and punk band who has just hit my radar courtesy of their rousing new track Boys From Jungle.

Like all good punk, Boys From Jungle has a strong political message. The track takes on the poor treatment of asylum seekers coming to the UK, and how those in power seek to minimalize it. Despite its bleak subject matter, Boys From Jungle is a bouncing, upbeat number, with riffs aplenty and a lively percussive groove. It’ll make you think and make you dance.

Junior Bill is led by Rob Nichols, who takes musical inspiration from the likes of The Specials, The Clash and Jamie T. Boys From Jungle is the first song released from their upcoming debut album Youth Club! On this evidence, the album is set to launch Junior Bill into the collective conscience of the UK rock scene.
