Morning Trips are an American alternative rock four piece who have just hit my radar thanks to their eclectic new track An Imaginary Life.

Throwing the concept of genre to the dogs, Morning Trips combine alternative rock with indie pop and shoegaze to create something that isn’t quite any of those things. From the off, An Imaginary Life is big and bold, with a throwback vibe mixed with an immediate sense of emotion. As it progresses, its lush layers wash over you until you reach a state of pop-rock bliss.

An Imaginary Life is the band’s first release in a year but they’ve got plenty more to come with a debut EP release slated for the spring. You can check out the single below.
