Said Sara, the solo project of San Francisco, USA-based singer songwriter David Benson, has featured once before on our blog. Last summer, I ran the rule over his darkly atmospheric track Sea. Now I’m pleased to say he’s back with an equally dark alternative folk track Same.

Same opens with some pleasing acoustic guitar noodling before David’s expressive vocals come in. They tell a poetic, visercal story that’s full of genuine emotion. There’s not much out there like Said Sara. David takes hard rock and prog elements and turns them into stripped-back folk, similar to moments in the Pink Floyd back catalogue.

The track proves a timely reminder of Said Sara’s fresh and exciting sound. You can check out Same below.
