Brooks Dixon is an American country singer songwriter who has just come to my attention thanks to his anthem for anyone burning the candle at both ends. It’s called Midnight Shower.

Midnight Shower tells a story that feels instantly relatable. I’m sure we’ve all had moments when we’ve looked at the day ahead of us and wished we’d had some more sleep to prepare. Brooks tells his story through smooth and charismatic vocals and an Americana arrangement that feels both traditional and contemporary. It really is country folk at its best.

Brooks lives in the Appalachian town of Greenville, South Carolina and has tapped into the famous Nashville music scene to help create his music. I think that’s why it feels so authentic.
