Hebden Bridge-based Marc Bird has appeared on the blog a few times now and we always find ourselves enraptured by his unique brand of alternative folk. His latest sees him taking his music in a rockier direction. It’s called Kaleidoscope.

Kaleidoscope opens with a brooding, indie rock guitar riff and dreamy vocals. As always, Marc’s poetic lyrics fill your mind with imagery but what stood out most to me about his latest is its subtle but powerful sense of emotion. The track comes complete with a psychedelic, circus-inspired video.
If, like us, you’re liking what Marc is putting out, and want to catch him live. Your next chance involves a short trip up to Newcastle to catch him at Bobiks on 31 March.
You can check out the video for Kaleidoscope below.
