Real Kevin are an Ontario, Canada-based rock band that combine elements of garage rock, post-punk and grunge to create their distinct sound. They’ve been going for a few years but have only just hit my radar thanks to their unexpected cover Sky Kiss.

Fans of the animated TV show Bob’s Burgers may recognise the song, as it featured in the show, but who actually performed the original version of Sky Kiss is something of a mystery. Whoever it was, Real Kevin were inspired by it, and adopted it as part of their live set. Thanks to this recording, the rest of us now get to hear it too. Sky Kiss is a lively, dreamy and upbeat piece of shoegaze, delivered beautifully by Real Kevin.
