Ohio, USA-based alternative rock and pop punk band Detention have been lighting up our pages for awhile now with their youthful energy and killer hooks. Their latest explores the concept of being not OK, even when everything is OK and is called Peachy Keen.

Peachy Keen has a bit more of an intimate vibe to it than previous tracks we’ve heard from Detention. It opens with acoustic guitar and isolated vocals that reflect the vulnerability of the track’s lyrics. As the track progresses, drums, bass and electric guitar come in, building to a cathartic, explosive chorus.

Detention have a growing reputation for live performance in their local area, and are catching the attention of radio stations coast to coast in the US. They truly are an exciting prospect in the punk world, and each new track shows a little more of their sound.
