The Parlor are an intriguing New York, USA-based project that have just come to my attention. A duo consisting of Eric Krans and Jen O’Connor, a pair of multi-instrumentalist producer-composers who create a sound quite unlike anything I’ve heard before. Their latest is called Serpentine.
By Graeme Smith
Serpentine opens with a wall of distorted sound that quickly develops into a dreamy groove. There are indie rock and pop elements, but the genre descriptions don’t quite do the track justice. It’s wonderfully unique and Eric and Jen’s vocals work so incredibly well together.
The track will feature on The Parlor’s upcoming album You Are Love And I Am You, which promises a psychedelic dream-pop journey. I can’t wait to explore it! I hope you’ll come on the journey with me. You can check out Serpentine below.
