Pete Lambert is a York-based Americana singer songwriter who first hit my radar at the end of last year thanks to his debut single The Things I Think. Now he’s back on the blog with a brand new one, a sad song about heart break called Every Time.
By Graeme Smith
Every Time opens slow with mournful strings and Pete’s expressive vocals. Yet, it’s not all doom and gloom. There’s a hint of hope and love in among the shadows. It’s a beautiful microcosm of true human emotion – its ups and downs.
For the track, Pete has once again joined forces with Dan Webster for recording and production. The track also featured contributions from Alex Victoria, Emily Lawler and Sam Jackson.
Though this is only Pete’s second single, he’s been performing music as part of bands since the ’90s and his prowess and song writing shows his experience in the music industry. Every Time will feature on his upcoming debut EP, set for release at some point in the middle of this year.
