Mad is probably best described as being a pop song, although it has plenty in common with the EDM and alt-pop genres too. The beat is really catchy, seeing a funky bassline follow the drums in a captivating way. The vocals are sultry and dark, drifting through the music in a unique way – it really does sound very different from anything else on the airwaves at the moment!
