American country rock duo Megan and Shane have featured once before on the blog. Last summer Jane ran the rule over their track Oh Hell for us. Now it’s my turn to share some of their music, thanks to their new release Rose Colored Glasses.

Rose Colored Glasses is a wonderfully thoughtful track with a hell of a team behind it. Production comes from multi-Grammy winning producer and engineer Brandon Bell, and Megan and Shane are joined on the track by fiddle player Mae Little, drummer Chris Powell, bassist Brian Allen and guitarist Tim Galloway.

Megan and Shane are the focal point though, and they tell a beautiful story of showing up through gentle Americana and their two part harmonies. The lyrics are heart-breaking and heart-warming in equal measure. You can give Rose Colored Glasses a listen below.
