The Shrubs are a psychedelic rock band based in Houston, USA. They’ve been recording music since 2013 but have only just hit my radar thanks to their new single release, Brilliance.

Brilliance is rock, but not as we know it. With classical undertones, it feels a little different to most rock out there. Wonderfully dreamy, there’s a sense of timeless about it. Though its layered vocals are perhaps its best feature, all its elements together combine to create something utterly bliss-inducing.

The Shrubs are Laura, Miguel, Josh and Sophie. They are currently working on their debut album, set for release later this year, or early next year. I can’t wait to hear it based on the evidence of Brilliance. You can give the single a listen below.
