Philadelphia, USA-based pop singer songwriter Connor Kirk first hit my radar at the end of February and I’m pleased to say he’s already back on the blog with another new track. Following on from his Hitchcock-inspired Strangers on a Train, his latest is called Day by Day.
By Graeme Smith
Day by Day gives us funky, soulful pop rock that goes deep. Its quick-fire verses are full of poetic lyrics shared through unconventional vocal delivery. They encourage us to take a step back and look at the world today, and to focus on the human spirit rather than its depravity.
I’m loving what Connor Kirk is doing with his unique brand of pop. His sound is approachable but his lyrics and references are giving us something that no-one else in the pop world is giving us right now.
