Yours To Lose is a song written about the character of Charlie Bucket from the 1971 Willy Wonka film, making for a very unique lyrical topic!

Whilst the theme of the song may sound odd, the lyrics are actually fantastic, showing some fantastic songwriting from Illinois Joy. Yours To Lose is probably best described as a rock and roll tune, although it also has elements of folk and Americana. The chorus is incredibly catchy, getting stuck inside your head straight away. The solo towards the end is very impressive too. It’s genuinely one of my favourite songs of the year and I can’t stop playing it – hopefully you’ll have the same experience too!
