Cherise is a British contemporary R&B act who has just caught my attention thanks to her sultry new track Elixir.

Elixir is all about desire, and the feeling is wonderfully captured through Cherise’s descriptive lyrics and jazzy instrumental arrangement. The groove is unstoppable while the vocals are beautifully expressive, creating a result that’s completely irresistable.

Based in London, Cherise has a growing following in the city’s jazz scene. She has a debut album set for release in July called Calling. No doubt the record will win her a few more fans across the country too. You can count me among them.
