Join us as we get an exclusive insight into the process and inspiration of York based artist, Lincoln Lightfoot.
After the talk, you will have the chance to design your own artwork using collage material before creating a pen & ink drawing to take home. We currently have a display of paintings in our box office and will run this one-off event before they leave us.
Lincoln Lightfoot is a well-established artist that has built up an excellent reputation across North Yorkshire. Lightfoot’s artwork explores surreal concepts based in well-known locations reminiscent of 1950’s-60s B-Movie Poster Art. Through the consumption of art, we can deal with nightmares. As children we confront and make sense of a dangerous world through stories and rhymes and wish to be taught of danger through anecdote and myth.
