American rock and blues singer songwriter Jax Hollow has already featured on our blog twice this year, but we can’t get enough of her lively, eloquent brand of folk rock. Her latest is no exception. It’s called Only The Wild Ones.
By Graeme Smith
Only The Wild Ones opens gently, with acoustic guitar, percussion and Jax’s isolated vocals. They tell a nostalgic story of growing up and getting into trouble. Jax’s thoughtful song writing is in full display, even as the instrumentals kick up and get lost in the drama.
Jax has already opened for the likes of Peter Karp and Thin Lizzy’s Marco Mendoza in her career. As she continues to refine her sound, she’s definitely going to be one to watch.
You can give Only The Wild Ones a listen below.
