Record producer Walt Dolla is a one of a kind record producer from Detroit, the home of Motown. He makes gorgeous little soul ditties with a lo-fi vibe, and he’s back with more of the same!

Ocean View is a little different to the lo-fi songs you usually hear, as it sees Walt adding more of a retro soul flavour into the mix. It’s groovy as all hell, featuring a prominent and funky bassline that creeps along in the background, against the steady beat. Occasional piano notes can be heard alongside the staccato guitar chords, adding a little more to this piece. The horns move the piece on a little when they come in, acting almost like a chorus would in this instrumental number. Check it out here:
