Stoke-on-Trent-based indie rock band Camens have been featuring on our blog since 2018, and I recently shared their storytelling track Jacket Weather. Now they’re back with a new world-building track. It’s called On The Walk From The Picturehouse.

On The Walk From The Picturehouse opens with twanging guitar and lively indie pop. Expressive vocals deliver rich, descriptive lyrics in the first verse before we hit an anthemic and memorable chorus. If indie rock is resurgent in the UK right now, it’s because of bands like Camens.

With a summer of festival appearances lined up, including Your City Festival and Deva Fest, now seems a great time to be getting into Camens.
