We first shared American singer-songwriter Dave Thomas Junior’s music at the start of January this year – now he’s back with another cool tune, titled Promises.

Promises is another gorgeous folk song, mixing elements of the modern and traditional genres together with a slightly indie bent. The guitar melodies are fingerpicked to perfection, running amazingly through the piece as it progresses to a satisfying end. The vocals are soft yet sweet, full of soul and emotion here. The guitars break down slightly at times to allow the vocals to shine through by themselves, as a gorgeous selection of strings and backing effects erupts later on.
