YDEA is a Danish, London-based artist who has just come to my attention thanks to her debut single that speaks of rebirth, renewal and finding your power. It’s called Forest Fire.

Forest Fire is an empowering anthem for anyone struggling and unable to picture life being good again. The track embraces the idea of self-transformation through natural imagery, epic instrumentals and passionate and captivating vocals. Pop sensibilities run through it all, but there’s definitely something distinctive about YDEA’s sound, which blends influences from Bon Iver, Billie Eilish and Joni Mitchell. I was hooked right from the off.
