It’s very rare that I get to hear music from South Africa, so I’m pleased to be able to share South African musician Wesley Hlava’s music with the world!

The Day After is a classical piece of music, combining a pretty piano melody with a gorgeous orchestral string section. It’s absolutely beautiful, having a haunting quality that fits the themes of the music. Wesley wrote this track about the injustice faced during the Ukraine war, and you can really feel the emotion within it, despite the music being entirely instrumental.
