Los Angeles, USA-based duo Songs for Sabotage have featured on this blog a couple of times before now. The summer of 2021 introduced them to us through their gloomy track Phantom. That was followed up by a share of Shadow at the beginning of 2022. Now they’re back with a new track and video called Pills.
By Graeme Smith
Pills tell the story of toxic youth – chasing highs and getting into drug-induced scrapes. Despite the subject matter, it’s got an upbeat feel about it. There’s an irresistible electronic dance beat underpinning the melancholic vocals and its chorus is a complete earworm.
Songs for Sabotage are Lina and Richey. Pills is the first single release from their upcoming second album Clean Trauma, set for release in the autumn. You can check out the video for Pills below.
