Hats Off are a local band featuring Jaz Hancox on vocals and rhythm guitar, Calum Garnett on backing vocals and lead guitar, Zack Waite on backing vocals and bass and Tommy Drury on drums. They’ve just hit my radar with their debut single. It’s called Home.

Though this is their debut, all the members of Hats Off have experience playing in other bands, and years’ worth of live performances. The result is a debut that is rich with indie folk pop instrumentals and emotional vocals. There’s a relatability to its lyrics which dwell on restless youth, bringing the experience to life with descriptive, storytelling lyrics.

Home was recorded at Fairview Studios in Hull, working with Jo Brown. John Spence did the engineering for their upcoming album. You can check out Home below.
