showalter is the stage name of multi-instrumentalist and producer Joseph Conde, who produces gorgeous little folky ditties set to captivate all fans of the modern folk genre.

With My Companion is our first introduction to showalter’s music, but I’m sure we’ll be checking out more in the near future! It’s a slow and stripped-down folk tune with a modern folk sensibility, also mixing in elements of the singer-songwriter genre. A gorgeous fingerpicked acoustic guitar melody is played throughout the track, as some sparse backing effects also play occasionally. showalter’s vocals are soft yet soulful, suiting the style of track well.
