It’s been quite a while since we’ve shared new music from Dutch singer-songwriter Pieternel, so it’s great to hear from her again!

As you might expect from the title, Underneath My Skin (Acoustic Version) is an acoustic version of the original track, although this version is beautiful that it should really be your first stop. It’s fairly stripped-down, featuring a gorgeous acoustic guitar melody in the background, underpinning Pieternel’s vocals perfectly. The main chord sequence really makes this track, sounding haunting throughout. There are odd traces of slide guitar in the background, but it’s fairly minimalist, allowing the vocals to truly shine through.
