Marlene Larsen is a Lyon, France-based artist who has just released the second single from her debut EP. A rich and intoxicating track. It’s called I Said I’m Fine.

Marlene takes her musical direction from the ’90s, with inspirations that include Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne and whatever band that might be playing at The Bronze in the TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer. She takes these cultural touchpoints and makes them her own in I Said I’m Fine. Opening with a lush soft rock arrangement, we are quickly introduced to Marlene’s captivating and expressive vocals. Things move along at a relaxed pace before we hit an emotional and anthemic chorus.

I Said I’m Fine will feature on Marlene’s debut EP Galore, set for release this year via Unicum Music. You can check out the single below.
