The Day That I Met You is the first single to be released from Australian singer-songwriter Lara Anderson’s new EP release, Lovesick.
By Jane Howkins
The Day That I Met You has a typical folky singer-songwriter vibe, but it’s certainly the cream of the crop, sounding absolutely beautiful throughout. It’s quite a slow tune, featuring a steady piano melody as the main instrumentation, although the rhythm section does kick in after a while. The song also features some lovely strings and fingerpicked guitar melodies, adding more layers to this well produced tune. And who can forget Lara’s vocals, drifting through the music in effortless style, showing an immense range. You need to check this out!
