Finnish composer Peter Widebay brings a unique touch to the classical genre, reinvigorating a style that can sometimes become banal.

Ephemeral Bloom starts out quite distinctively, opening with a sparse set of piano notes, adding a rhythmic touch to the piece. Electronic backing effects can be heard at times, until a gorgeous set of orchestral strings kicks in, adding a haunting beauty to this track. The music ebbs and flows, slowly building the tension up into a glorious crescendo, truly touching the heart as you listen to it. It’s one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve heard in a long time, making this a must listen for classical fans.
