Jazzygold, real name Jasmine Mote, is based in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands and performs irresistible soul-pop. She’s just come to my attention thanks to her third single release exploring the shady netherworld after a night out. It’s called lonely afterparties.

Lonely afterparties is beautifully rendered with ambient sound, relentless pop instrumentals and powerful vocals. Lyrically, it paints a vivid and relatable picture. Close your eyes are you’ll be transported a dingy, smoke-filled flat and wonder how you got there.

The track follows the success of jazzygold’s first two singles boring like me and dyed my hair red. With a sound like hers, I wouldn’t be surprised is she takes over the world. Jasmine’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
