Inverness, Scotland-based Forgotten Garden first featured on our blog in the Summer of 2021 thanks to their track Jessica. Since then they’ve featured a few more times, including an interview with Jane. Now they’re back with another new one. It’s called Francesca.
By Graeme Smith
Opening with rumbling drums, Francesca is darkly atmospheric indie rock. Inês’s ghostly vocals float over Danny’s edgy instrumental arrangement, delivering poetic lyrics. There’s a touch of psychedelia about it all. It would sit nicely on a playlist before The Velvet Underground and All About Eve, and Forgotten Garden’s uniqueness shines through as always.
Francesca is a must listen for fans of The Cure, Lana Del Rey and Florence and The Machine. You can check it out below.
