Saunder Jurriaans is a Los Angeles, USA-based multi-instrumentalist probably best known for his work as composer on the TV show Ozark. It’s through his new track and video that he’s fallen onto my radar. It’s called Everything Shines.

Everything Shines is a slow-burning experimental pop banger with a hypnotic rhythm and a captivating array of vocal textures. You can’t help but move along to it as it draws you further and further in. The lyrics are rich with imagery, and paired nicely with the visual storytelling of the slow-motion video. This track is, quite simply, a masterpiece.

Saunder has a new album called Phantom Limb set for release on 17 November via his Ghost Talk Records imprint. You can check out the video for Everything Shines, directed by Trevor Tweeten and produced by Rachel Kitchener, below.
