Open Road Folk Music have fast become one of my favourite new acts, and they’re back with a fantastic new piece of folk music.

August Moon is a little more stripped-down than other Open Road Folk Music songs we’ve heard, but the simplicity makes the music sound really beautiful. It consists solely of a couple of pretty fingerpicked acoustic guitar melodies, as well as the occasional piano and electric guitar motifs, following the main chord sequence well. It’s an extremely relaxing track, seeping straight under your skin straight away. It’s an instrumental track, but don’t let that put you off, as this is well worth a listen!
