Los Angeles, USA-based singer songwriter Maisyn has featured a few times on this blog now. She first came to our attention in 2021 thanks to her track Pool Party. We quickly followed that up with a share of her EP Cool Grl and an interview. Earlier this year we shared her track Naked and now she’s back with a new one that all about that post-breakup haircut. It’s called Long Hair.

Opening gentle and ethereal, Long Hair is a soft pop track that’s rich with emotion. Maisyn’s vocals are the star of the show as always, beautifully compelling as they deliver lyrics that are rich with storytelling detail. The track’s chorus provides an empowering sense of healing. It’s certainly one to feel along with.

Long Hair was created with Grammy-nominated engineer and producer Joey Messina-Doerning who has previously worked with HAIM, and will feature on Maisyn’s upcoming second EP. You can give the track a listen below.
