Colouring, the musical project of Jack Kenworthy, is a Nottingham-based Bella Union artist who has just caught my attention thanks to his new track and video. Meditating on the concept of teamwork in a relationship, it’s called Lune.
By Graeme Smith
Lune is a track that instantly strikes you with its combination of laidback percussion, rich keys and smooth vocals. Its emotional story is gripping, painting a romantic picture of relationship give and take. A soaring chorus is a particular highlight. It’ll give you goosebumps.
Having recently signed to Bella Union, Colouring is preparing to release second album in early 2024. If you happen to be in London, you can catch him live on Wednesday 4 October at St. Pancras Old Church.
You can check out the video for Lune, directed by Pierce Tews, below.
