As regular readers will know, I’ve really gotten into my lo-fi music of late – adym is a German producer creating music within that style.

The curiously titled BER-SYD is a perfect example of the genre – it opens subtly with a minimalist clean guitar melody that has something of a jazzy vibe. However, the beat soon kicks in, pushing the tune along to its satisfying conclusion. Whilst the guitar motifs do tail off every so often, creating something new, there isn’t too much variety, but it isn’t really needed in a track of this style. All in all, BER-SYD is a perfect tune and suitable for anyone into the lo-fi/chill-hop genre.
