New Music: Anto Dust – Sinners Sing

Anto Dust, the musical project of the London-based musician, film composer and songwriter Anto Cossu, first came to our attention around this time last year. Their track A Larkin delighted me with its poetic feel. Earlier this year, They were back on the blog with the sweeping, lonely pop of Black City. Now they’re back again with another new one that explores the highs and lows of the London drug scene. It’s called Sinners Sing.

By Graeme Smith

There’s a wonderfully cinematic feel to Sinners Sing, combining ethereal electronica and earthy instrumentals. Anto’s vocals are hauntingly beautiful and her song writing comes to the forefront in her captivating lyrics. As the track proceeds, it builds and we get some powerful crescendos.

Anto Dust are Anto Cossu, Antonio Perry, Dave Roberts and Eleanor Gall. Sinners Sing was recorded at Bush Studios by Dave Roberts, and mixed and mastered in New York by Robert L Smith. It was produced by Anto Cossu and Joe Donaldson. You can give it a listen below.
