Cassidy Dickens is a Nashville, USA-based singer songwriter who has just come to my attention thanks to her ode to young love in the Bible belt. It’s called Church Basement.

Raised in West Virginia, it’s in those Appalachian surroundings that Cassidy sets her scene. A coming of age tale, she brings it beautifully to life with an intimate, acoustic arrangement and soulful charismatic vocals. The attention to detail in her lyrics is what really makes her stand out from the crowd. It’s impossible to not be thoroughly engrossed while listening.
Church Basement was written, composed and performed by Cassidy Dickens. It features Jason Roller on guitar and Leah Colon on backing vocals. It was produced and mixed by Sean Giovanni at The Record Shop in Nashville, Tennessee. You can give it a listen below.
