Los Angeles, USA-based pop rock singer songwriter Nadia Vaeh has featured once before on this blog. Back in February this year, I ran the rule over her simmering and intimate single Friends U Couldn’t Keep. Now she’s back with a new one written in the wake of a near-fatal car crash. It’s called Trauma Bond.

Around this time last year, Nadia’s partner was involved in a car accident that left them both picking up the pieces. This emotional impact is what she reflects on in her new track. It’s a suitably downbeat song, opening slow and reflective to give the visceral storytelling of its lyrics plenty of space. As the track progresses, it builds in energy and emotion before reaching a cathartic climax. It’s powerful stuff.

Trauma Bond was written by Nadia Vaeh and Dion Shaw. It was produced by Dion with Tyler Spratt, who also did the mixing and mastering. You can give it a listen below.
