New Music: FloodHounds – Quicksand

Sheffield-based FloodHounds first came to our attention in April this year when Jane ran the rule over their track Psychosemantics. Really digging what they were putting out, she followed that up with an interview in June. Now it’s my turn to share some of their music. A mosh-pit inducing wonder, it’s called Quicksand.

Quicksand is a track all about finding resilience against life’s many setbacks. Its story is delivered against a backdrop of dark rock, complete with heavy riffs and passionate vocals. It’s the chorus that will really get you jumping, rich with a cathartic expansiveness.

FloodHounds are Lauren Greaves on drums, Jack Flynn on vocals and gutar, and Anna Melidone on bass. They’re taking classic indie rock sensibilities and bringing them right up to date. It’s great to see them keeping Yorkshire on the musical map.

Quicksand was produced by The Magic Garden studio. You can give it a listen below.
