Etaoin is a London-based artist who has featured on this blog a few times before, but not since around this time last year. Her latest single is her first release this year and explores issues of body image and self-acceptance. Coming complete with a video, it’s called I Hate How I Look In My Head.
By Graeme Smith
Etaoin’s latest is raw and emotional pop at its most hard-hitting. The honesty in her lyrics feels instantly relatable during a stripped-back first verse in which she accompanies herself on piano. Her vocals are certainly the focal point, beautifully expressive, especially during a soaring, pleading chorus.
I Hate How I Look In My Head is a collaboration with Dustin Dooley. You can watch its powerful video below.
