Humm are a Bath-based duo who have just come to my attention thanks to their new track that reflects on the end of a complicated relationship. It’s called Danced Alone (who I am when I’m in love).

Danced Alone is a hymn for all those made recently lonely and aims to remind them that it’s not all doom and gloom. It’s beautifully delivered through acoustic guitar and crystalline vocals. There’s a lush vulnerability to it, and bright moments cut through the retrospection. In this way, it perfectly captures the sentiment of its lyrics.
Humm are Arty Jackson and Carys Lewin. They’ve been making music together since 2018, and were even given the opportunity to peform as part of the The Forthlin Sessions at Sir Paul McCartney’s childhood home.
Danced Alone was produced, mixed and mastered with Josh Clark at Get Real Audio. You can give it a listen below.
