The Trudy are a London-based post-punk band who have featured once before on this blog, but it was way back in early 2021. Now I’m glad to welcome them back to these pages with their latest track and video. A song about self-discovery and living in the moment, it’s called Every Story Ever Told.

Opening gently acoustic, Every Story Ever Told shows a lighter side of The Trudy’s sound. Elements of psych mix into classic rock and folk influences before arriving at a story rich with mythic imagery, beautifully delivered through lilting, expressive vocals. It’s so captivatingly unique; I was hooked.

The Trudy are Melissa Jo Heathcote, Del Tagg and Peter Tagg. Joining them on their most recent release is bassist Jon Bastable. The band have a new mini-album on the way, Outside Time, set for release next month. You can check out the video for Every Story Ever Told below.
