Mums Favourite are an Adelaide, Australia-based rock band who first hit my radar last month through their ode to the canine companion, Wind in the Willows. Now they’re back with a new one that shows a different side of their sound. It’s called Loveboat.

Loveboat is the brainchild of drummer Jordy. A rhythmic effort that brings a Bossanova beat that gives us a sexy groove while lyrics and vocals from Sash play on the myth of storks delivering babies. The result is something that feels both freeing and introspective. Mums Favourite are truly proving themselves the experts in turning convention on its head, and it’s clear that they’re having fun doing so.
