Modern rock band communitypool hail from San Diego, making incredibly soulful tunes like their latest release, Fireball.
By Jane Howkins
Whilst Fireball is certainly a rock song, it’s got a slow, waltzy beat, reminiscent of the old school movement. Lyrically, the track is about alcohol, religious trauma, living your dreams and being in your 20s, making for quite a broad reach. It’s really soulful though, seeing the stunning vocals croon through the music in an impassioned way. The backing vocals are utilised perfectly on the chorus, echoing nicely with the main guitar arpeggio. This is one of my favourite songs of the year, so you must check it out!
