American composer J Scott Williams returns with a fresh new look at the classical genre in The Approaching.

The Approaching certainly has a classical vibe, but it also includes a Celtic folk quality, making for something extremely cinematic indeed! It’s fairly short, coming in at around a minute and a half, but the time limit just leaves you longing for more from this incredibly composer. The strings are absolutely gorgeous here, creating something really evocative as the piece marches on, pulsating in time with the tribal drum beat. This is one of my favourite songs of the entire month!
