Antibes are a Verona, Italy-based Avant Garde dream pop band who have just come to my attention thanks to their debut single. Finding a middle ground between Radiohead and Tame Impala, it’s called Naked.

You can tell straight away that you’re in for something a little different with Naked. It opens stripped-back and dreamy with distinctive vocals that tell a vulnerable story. As the track progresses, it builds with layers of synths, rumbling bass and lively drums. It’s such a lush arrangement, and so easy to get lost in.

Antibes is the musical project of singer songwriter Andre Ballini and his buddies Luca Tommasi on drums, Edo Carli on keyboard and synths, and Michele Gelmini on bass. Naked was produced and recorded in Ballini’s home studio, and mastered at Uri Studio in Verona. You can give it a listen below.
