Wintersleep (Southern Lights) is a track written after the covid-19 lockdowns, seeing South For Winter producing something that will touch the heart of any folk fan. The main guitar melody has a lovely fingerpicked sound, working its way right under your skin. The vocals are absolutely stunning too, carrying through the music with a wonderful sense of passion and emotion. If you listen carefully, there’s also a lovely string section to be heard in the background, adding another layer of beauty into the mix.
